Craig has been practising in North Sydney for almost 25 years. In 1985 he started his own practice which has developed and grown into the firm known as RBHM Commercial Lawyers. He has degrees in arts and law and in 1994 he completed a Master of Criminology at Sydney University.
Craig has extensive experience in general legal matters but prefers advocacy work, especially in Criminal, Traffic, Drink Driving and Apprehended Domestic Violence matters. He does a lot of plea work, local court defended hearings and appeals to the District Court. During his career he has appeared in most metropolitan local courts as well as Gosford, Penrith, Lithgow, Moss Vale, Gundagai, Cooma etc.
The Law Society, Solicitors Register and numerous lawyers refer clients to Craig for advice and representation in matters that are often emotional or embarrassing for those involved. He conducts these matters with great discretion and has earned a reputation for providing sensible and practical advice. On many occasions he has won costs orders against the Police, especially where they have exceeded their duty or used excessive force and are unwilling to withdraw charges.
Craig is a dedicated solicitor who often visits prisons, police stations or hospitals to obtain instructions or ensure his clients have on the spot representation. He is a tenacious advocate. His candour and sense of humour have ensured a positive relationship with the magistrates and judges before whom he appears.
Craig is married and has 2 sons in high school. He enjoys many sports including cycling, skiing and tennis. He regularly attends theatre and opera and travels when possible.
